Mapping Archaeological Heritage in South Asia (MAHSA) database, powered by Arches, aims to document endangered archaeology and cultural heritage of Indus River Basin by working collaboratively with local stakeholders.
Data Access and Updates: The MAHSA database is under active development, meaning that not all data is yet accessible, depending on the nature and sensitivity of the data. From 2027-2029 we plan to make data available open access according to CARE data principles. Currently publicly accessible content includes historic maps, a subset of World Heritage Sites, and related resources. Other datasets and detailed site information may have restricted or controlled access.
The database is continuously being updated, expanded, and enriched as project work continues. The content and availability of individual records may therefore change over time. Please contact us for more information.
